The Process

We would like to be as transparent and open with the ingredients we use and why we use them. So if you are interested we have a quick rundown and brief explanation of why.

Suet Tallow

We use pasture-raised grass-fed and finished beef suet in every single product. It is the highest quality fat out there. Suet Is the most nutrient dense fat in the entire cow and is completely different from normal fat you would eat on a steak. It has many health benefits if you were to consume it but even rubbed into the skin it does wonderful things.

Suet tallow, rendered from the hard fat around the kidneys and loins of animals such as cows and sheep, is rich in nutrients and fatty acids beneficial for the skin. Here are some of the key skin benefits of using suet tallow:

Skin Benefits of Suet Tallow

  1. Deep Moisturization:

    • Suet tallow is composed of fatty acids like oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid, which closely resemble the natural oils found in human skin. This similarity allows for effective absorption and deep moisturization, making it ideal for dry and chapped skin .
  2. Nutrient-Rich Composition:

    • Suet tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are essential for maintaining healthy skin:
      • Vitamin A: Supports cell turnover and helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
      • Vitamin D: Promotes skin cell growth and repair.
      • Vitamin E: Provides antioxidant protection against free radical damage.
      • Vitamin K: Aids in healing wounds and reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks .
  3. Anti-Inflammatory Properties:

    • The fatty acids in suet tallow have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help soothe irritated or inflamed skin. This makes it beneficial for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis .
  4. Skin Barrier Repair:

    • Suet tallow helps to strengthen and repair the skin’s natural barrier, which is crucial for retaining moisture and protecting against environmental stressors. This can improve the overall texture and resilience of the skin .
  5. Antimicrobial and Healing Properties:

    • The saturated fats in suet tallow possess natural antimicrobial properties that help protect the skin from infections and support faster healing of wounds and minor cuts .
  6. Non-Comedogenic:

    • Despite being a fat, suet tallow is considered non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores. This makes it suitable for various skin types, including acne-prone skin .

Coconut Oil

We chose coconut oil for our products over olive oil or jojoba oil because seed oils suck! You might be saying olive oil isn't a seed oil, you are correct but many companies cut the olive oil with seed oils giving them more profit. Which should be criminal. But nonetheless we don't want to risk it whatsoever so we use coconut oil to give a nice smooth light texture to the creams.

Skin Benefits of Coconut Oil

  1. Moisturization:

    • Hydration: Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer for dry skin. It is rich in medium-chain fatty acids, such as lauric acid, which help retain moisture in the skin by forming a protective barrier .
    • Skin Barrier Repair: Regular use can help repair the skin's natural barrier, improving hydration and reducing dryness and flakiness.
  2. Anti-Inflammatory Properties:

    • Soothing Irritation: Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness. This makes it beneficial for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis .
  3. Antimicrobial Effects:

    • Fighting Bacteria and Fungi: Lauric acid in coconut oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which can help protect the skin from infections. It can be useful in treating acne by reducing the bacteria that cause pimples and other breakouts .
  4. Antioxidant Protection:

    • Free Radical Defense: Coconut oil contains antioxidants, such as vitamin E and polyphenols, which help protect the skin from free radical damage and environmental stressors. This can slow down the aging process and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles .
  5. Wound Healing:

    • Promoting Healing: The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of coconut oil can promote faster healing of minor cuts, wounds, and burns. Its moisturizing effects also help prevent scarring .
  6. Improving Skin Conditions:

    • Eczema and Psoriasis: The moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties make coconut oil beneficial for managing symptoms of eczema and psoriasis, reducing dryness, itching, and irritation .
  7. Skin Softening:

    • Smooth and Soft Skin: Regular application of coconut oil can leave the skin feeling soft and smooth, improving its texture and appearance .

Essential Oils

Our essential oils are from high-quality refinement sources that never use carrier oils such as jojoba oil. So in each jar the scent is coming purely from the plant itself. We then dilute the scent into the tallow and coconut oil which keeps your skin safe from such concentrated essential oils.

Distilled Water

While this does not make it into the final product, it is very important to the entire process. We have in-house water distillers that pump out 100% pure water free of any and all fluoride, chlorine, estrogenic chemicals and microplastics. It is distilled into a large glass jug where it wont come in contact with any microplastics the rest of its life. We use this distilled water to create the tallow.

Salt

We use an all natural salt in the refinement process from a salt mine in Utah that is microplastic free and never bleached. When creating the tallow, salt is used in in combination with the distilled water to extract any impurities from the fat. This in combination with our suet tallow is what creates our superior product.

Transparency and honesty is what we bring to the table in a world of deceit and lies. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we just use what mother nature provides us. We want to create a product that we would actually use.
